Equality Act 2010: Travel Insurance Signposting for Older Travellers

The Equality Act 2010 bans unjustifiable age discrimination in the provision of goods, facilities and services, including travel insurance.

If a travel insurance provider is unable to provide cover for a prospective customer on their standard product because of their age they are required under the Equality Act 2010 to 'signpost' that customer to an alternative travel insurance provider who would be able to provide cover.

Ancile Insurance Group can provides a range of fast, effective, risk free sign posting solutions for insurance providers to meet their obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and at the same time earn commission on sales that they may otherwise have to turn away.

FCA Required Signposting for Travellers with Medical Conditions

The FCA now require travel insurance providers to signpost to a specialist directory in certain circumstances to ensure a fair deal for travellers with severe pre-existing medical conditions. As specialists in this field, we’ve been ahead of the curve in preparing a host of options that allow partners to accommodate these requirements with as minimum fuss as possible and have the opportunity to earn commission.
